Shopping Center Forum soon!

ANTAN DEVELOPMENT has permanently appeared on the Polish real estate market, , just as regularly participates in meetings organized by the real estate industry company BROG Media. On 14th of February 2012 in Warsaw, at the Hilton Hotel - Shopping Center Forum will be held. We are pleased not only to participate in it presenting our current projects in Boleslawiec, Kalisz and Strzegom, but also to participate as a substantive partner of the Forum. Mr. Jan von Lewinski - Managing Director of ANTAN Group - will be one of the experts participating in a panel discussion devoted to the conditions of real estate market development in Poland (the panel starts at 12.20).

ANTAN will be also represented by project managers - Mrs. Edyta Bystra, Mr. Konrad Klimczak and Mrs. Ewa Szubert.

About Shopping Center Forum

Organized for the fourteenth time Shopping Center Business Forum 2012 is an opportunity to meet tenants and developers of commercial real estate. The next edition of the event will be given a new, unique form.

The developers, major partners forum, will be able to direct contact with tenants, interviews, and offer to present at the information. The organizer provides access to web-based business appointments between the participants of the forum.

Treasure at the construction site

Earthworks at the construction of the Bolesławiec City Center allowed to discover a ceramic treasure from the 15th century that has been sought for long time

The Museum of Ceramics does not have its seat in Bolesławiec by chance. The beginnings of Bolesławiec pottery date back at least to the period of the town foundation in 1251, although first mentions come only from 1380. Annalists noted that the pottery guild was established in 1511. There were five pottery houses and in Górne Przedmieście annals mentioned two brickyards and one pottery. The fire in 1633 consumed a large part of the town. Despite numerous investments executed within the territory of the area of the former Górne Przedmieście the remains of the pottery houses were undiscovered – till October 2011. That is all for dates and history.

During the earthworks conducted at the construction of the Bolesławiec City Center aAsnyka street constructors discovered the remains of the oldest pottery house of Bolesławiec. The earthenware were in the ground a couple of hundreds of years. the archeologists of the Museum of Ceramics in Bolesłwiec confirmed the discovery of the remains of the pottery house in the form of a waste pit, that earthenware deformed and damaged during burning were disposed to. Almost 4 thousand fragments of pottery were excavated: pots and ewers, jugs and bottles, on-legs pen. An initial analysis dates the excavated dishes to the beginning of the 15th century. The treasure of Bolesławiec that was sought for so long has been finally found. The explorers of the town history call the discovery within the area of BCC an archeological sensation.

After the potsherd cataloguing the dishes will be bonded and the missing elements reconstructed. The planned date of the exposition of the Museum of Ceramics is the beginning of 2013. However, it is possible that during the opening of the Bolesławiec City Center in autumn 2012 an exhibition will be held in the building built in the place where the oldest pottery house of Bolesławiec used to be – it would be a buckle joining the present times with the tradition and history of the town. The guild of town traders would correspond to the tradition of the guild of potters.

Antan –strategic sponsor

Basket Wrocław 96 Association has gained a strategic sponsor. Looking the other way round – it is Antan that has found a project worth their support

Basket Wrocław 96 is an association whose main statutory target is to create best possible conditions of sport improvement for the boys presently aged 15 being the players of WKS Śląsk Wrocław.

Boys always seek role models, sport idols. Therefore, the association’s success involves not only help within developing sport skills of everyone of them, but also within shaping their characters. The target is both a sport success as well as an educative success of every young person.

A dream is for a 15-year-old to become a player of WKS Śląsk. Even a bigger dream is for a young sportsman appreciating hard work to turn into a successor of Marcin Gortat and to join basketball celebrities of NBA. And for him to become an idol of consecutive age groups. “He will a role model whose footsteps will be worth following by others” – we read on the association website.

Is it thus a surprise that after obtaining such situation Antan decided to become a strategic sponsor of Basket Wrocław 96 Association in the nearest future?

We wish their success to be our success. We want to help develop the noble sport passion of young men being the future of Wroclaw, not only the sport future.

Jan von Lewiński, the chief executive officer of Antan in Poland explains the decision:

“We have been present in Poland for almost four years and some time passed till we found a social project worth out engagement in Wroclaw”.

He adds: “We are proud to be able to cooperate with them for next three years”.

Our company help will allow Ślask cadets to take part in the Championship of Poland in next years as well as makes it possible to participate in a larger number of national and international tournaments.

Maciej Zieliński, the chairman of WKS Śląsk Wrocław basketball section is delighted with the sponsoring thanks to which the youngest players will develop even faster. The team of Śląsk cadets is to be the new power on the basketball map of Poland within this age category.

And their successes, the successes of young players and the Basket Wrocław 96 Association will also become our successes.

Construction begins in Bolesławiec

The official start of the BC Center in Bolesławiec was kicked off with the first demolition work.

The time has come. The age-old town of Bolesławiec, which is located in the southwest corner of Poland, will be getting another attraction. A new service and shopping centre is being built right in the heart of the city centre. The BC Center with its modern design aims to become the central gathering point for the town’s residents. When the demolition work that was just started has been completed, construction of the Center will begin without delay. The Center is scheduled to open in the autumn of 2012. Long-term leases have already been negotiated with several tenants; others are supposed to follow bit by bit.

The project was presented to the public on July 5th, 2011, during a press conference. Robert Faktor and Jan von Lewinski attended in their capacity as managing directors of the investor AL Development Boleslawiec Sp. z o.o., in addition to Mayor Piotr Roman and Józef Pokładek (Chairman of the Town Council of Bolesławiec).

AL Development based in Wroclaw (a 100% associated company of ANTAN International GmbH & Co. KG and responsible for the project development in Poland) informs that their subcompany AL Develoment Strezgom Sp. z o.o. has closed a precontract for the purchase of a real estate with a floor area of about 3,500 sq m in a small city near Wroclaw. This real estate is situated in the city centre with direct connection to the main traffic artery. AL Development will file a building application within the next six weeks to establish a local providing complex with a sales area of about 1,000 sq m. The company already has at its disposal parties that are interested in the renting or purchasing of sales areas. With this acquisition the company keeps on focusing on the highly profitable business of the construction of providing complexes, discounters and retail warehouses.
